It Happens Only In India
Huh! I was
left speechless after watching this video by ibnlive. This is the murky truth
about Indian railway.
Nothing
could be worse than this. The head cook urinates in the place where cooking
utensils of railway’s catering are washed… The shameless man when caught says that
currently there was provision of toilets in the place so he attended nature’s
call at the spot.
He couldn’t
find any other place in the whole railway plat form to urinate. That’s
disgusting.
I wonder how
some people try to justify even their ghastly acts by their illogical
reasoning. Was he a small kid who didn’t
know his bladder was reaching it limits and then couldn’t control so urinated
where ever convenient?
The video
also shows that the situation of the premium trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi
is better (although that too not meeting the desired standards). So does it
mean that only high class people who can
afford costly tickets deserve such reasonably hygienic train journey?
What about
the general and larger public travelling by ordinary express? Are they herds of
cattle that are just transported from one destination to another.
Over the
years I have heard (even personally experienced) some grimly truths about the railways like old used water bottles being refilled and resold, overcharging of food packs or unhygienic conditions of railway toilets. Worst of all,
robberies in railways are done in alliance with some of the corrupt railway
authorities. And now this irksome shot tops all other accusations made against
railway authorities.
I wonder
when things will improve in India. This very appalling incident will linger for
long and I am sure it will create unrest in my mind whenever I will travel by
train. Thus making my journey not Mangalmai(pleasant).
This incident
is a slap on the hyped and much talked about cleaning initiative ‘Bharat Swachh Abhiyaan’. What do you
have to say Mr.Prime Minister about this act? Will any action be taken to
improve the existing deplorable conditions of Indian railways?
After the
robbery case that I once experienced few years back (thanks to the railways
authority who took no responsibility for it) travelling in railways had become a
dreadful thing. But after watching such laggardness in Railways catering dept I wonder if I would ever
like to travel by trains.
No safety,
no hygiene, no punctuality and no accountability. It’s disgusting to see the
ever-deteriorating condition of Indian Railways.
I personally
feel thankful to the media channel ibnlive for bringing this incident to light. I hope
some corrective actions will be taken towards providing a cleaner and healthier
environment for the Indian railway travellers.
