Who Shall Prevail?

“Our success rate is whopping to new heights…there is no doubt that one day we shall control the entire world”, exclaimed the chief of Devils.

Devils reveling over their triumph

All devils had gathered to celebrate and revel over their overwhelming popularity and of course their unbeatable achievements.

“Rape of small girls, women and yes not sparing even the animals… haah! now that’s the ultimate mockery of humanity”.

“What a fantastic victory… just few seconds of provocation and see how well we overpower the 'most powerful creation'. Glorifying ghastly acts, criminals and rapists getting off scot-free while innocents are humiliated and lynched for no crime… all these are just feathers to our cap”, said the speaker pretentiously.

The chief felt elated and each word he uttered symbolized triumph. “The most special creation of ‘Him’, believed to be above all other creations is nothing more but mere puppets in our hands. Never did I know that the much elite creation was so easy to mould and influence”, he added with glee.

“The much admired and praised sensibility and sensitivity of this creation has become very fragile. It is so easy to destroy all their senses and take them towards path of destruction and extinction. It’s gratifying and fun to use them as our pawns in our amusement stratagem”.

“How proud we are today”!

“We shall continue with our solemn acts of misguiding humans, leading them to ruination. This is our victory and defeat of our foe “humanity”.

All devils raise a toast to the final words of the chief.

Humanity lamenting 

Sitting at the other end, at a dark corner was sad and dejected humanity.  Disheartened and totally dismayed with the alarming rise of vice and evil in the society.

Even as he was lamenting over the current despicable condition of the humans, he saw a ray of light entering the room, dispelling the darkness around humanity.

“Who are you and why have you brought this light? Don’t you know I am moaning, it’s a moment of despair for me? The human race is turning into a savage community. It has reduced itself to uncivilised and ignoramus kind”.

After a moment of lull came the reply, “I am Hope”. “I have come here to assure you that you have not yet lost the battle. You are not yet defeated and I will never let you ever”.

Listening to Hope, humanity said, “But I see growing darkness all around me. I am deeply agonised to witness how the evil power is strengthening its hold in the society while I am fading out”.

Hope was confident and full of positivity. He said in a sanguine tone, “There are many who easily fall under the spell of devils but believe me my dear friend there are many who still uphold your principles”, continued Hope.

“The goodness and righteousness have not been completely washed away and will never be so. The world is existing because of Humanity, you are still there…present in greater percentage than the evils”.

The situation might have worsened and the devils have no doubt become more powerful, but we are still in dominance. This goodness that outmatches all other evils is our strength. Hence, we must come together and combat to save the goodness against the uprising enemy.

Listening to the words of Hope, the Humanity felt relieved. He found solace in the words of Hope. It gave him courage to give up its brooding. He realized that giving up or lamenting over the destruction was no solution. 

He agreed that time demands them to buck up and work assiduously to bring back the positivity that’s fast disappearing from the human race.

Hope and Humanity come together and take a pledge to free the world and human race from the shackles of the devils.

Hope and humanity shall never die… it is the foundation of our very being. Their prevalence alone can bring back the gleam and positivity needed for a peaceful and civilized society.
