Some Experiences Teach Us To Be Grateful

I was driving back home. It was very hot (the temperature reading showed 43 degrees celsius)

I complained that the air condition of the car was not working properly. Few minutes later I passed across a construction site where a group of workers was working. Clad in baniyan and trouser the workers were doing their job assiduously. Drenched in sweat yet working with complete perseverance.

I was shocked to see them working in that blazing sun. I just could not imagine how their bare skin could tolerate the harsh sun rays. I was struck by a pang of guilt. I was so privileged yet ungrateful.

I thanked Almighty for all the privileges and just wished that every human’s life was made less painful and survival easier.

There are so many Asian workers working in Middle East countries. Their plight is difficult to explain, especially the laborers in construction sites and other on-field jobs. They work in extreme climates, in scorching heat just to earn few foreign currencies that definitely fetch them some value in their homeland.

Hats off to their spirit. Staying miles away from their families, they work so hard just to give a better life to their families. Some dedicate their youth and even whole life to their family. Their sacrifice and dedication towards their family is commendable.
